We have a lot to be thankful for at Holy Family Catholic Schools. For the first time in our history, and since the enrollment declines of the early 1990’s, Holy Family Catholic Schools has increased in enrollment. Our ITBS scores are above the state and national standards with many of our students scoring a composite 99% and even more scoring in the top 5% nationwide. Our ACT scores for our seniors surpass national averages with 91% of our graduating class taking the test. These proven successes led to awards of over $2.5 million in college scholarships for the class of 2008!
Besides our successes academically, as members of the Catholic faith community, we’re proud of our students’ call to service to help those in need and believe that curriculum permeated with church teachings and gospel values further enrich our students’ faith life and educational experience.
As we celebrate our successes, you have to wonder – What’s next? What lies ahead? What will the Holy Family Catholic School system look like in three years? How will our school system and students progress in the next five years?
In today’s world, comprehensive strategic planning is seen as one of the hallmarks of any successful institution. We, at Holy Family Catholic Schools, recognize the value of planning and are aware of the importance of including those we serve in the process.
To get things started, we have engaged Shea Consulting Services of Dallas, Texas, to direct a strategic planning process that will include many opportunities to participate in over the next six months. The resulting plan will provide us with a blueprint of goals, objectives and action plans to ensure the success of our important ministry of Catholic education.
It is important to remember that this planning process is key to the success of our future and will take many months of hard work from many different people and groups. Everyone – parents, alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of Holy Family will be invited to participate in the process and help guide our system into the future with a plan that best serves the needs of our children.
See attached flyer that lists the goals that were developed as part of this strategic plan.
